My partner Adi alerted me the day Glee was filming their Season 2 finale live at Lincoln Center. I met up with him and my friend Douglas Clark, who took this amazing photo. We weren’t allowed to get to close because of security so this came out great, considering it was take from inside Avery Fisher Hall. You can click on the image or here to see it full screen.
Immersed in an NPR article on my iPhone while on the M16, I realize that we’re nearly at the last stop at 43rd and 9th. Out of the corner of my eye, I noticed the signature blonde streak through the hair of a young Asian man and his boyfriend as they we walking on 43rd Street toward 9th Avenue. I knew instantly that it was Rupaul’s Drag Race Season 3 finalist Manila Luzon (out of drag) and her boyfriend Season 2 contestant Sahara Davenport.
Every May, I feel a pang of sadness, despite how much I love Spring and the Summer that follows. The reason? May marks the end of one of my favorite shows, Ru Paul’s Drag Race. Most Mondays between January and May are spent watching or chit-chatting with friends about the bevy of queens Ru has assembled to compete for the title “The Next Drag Superstar”.
A friend of mine sent me these great videos of Cheyenne Jackson. One is the prep for his photo shoot for Out magazine and the other is him talking about being a budding TV star and being an out actor. Both are shot on Fire Island. I love the fact that he’s on Glee, 30 Rock, and Curb Your Enthusiasm all at the same time.
I was really surprised to find out that Adam Lambert was dropped from appearing on ABC’s Good Morning America because of the fact that he [very quickly] kissed a man during his performance at the American Music Awards.
