I’m just getting around to thinking about some of the highlights of the holiday season. One of them was our trip up to Connecticut to visit our friends Victor and Vasilli at their lovely house in Southport. We had a great time eating a home-cooked meal and then decorating the tree the following day. I have to admit that Connecticut is absolutely beautiful during the holiday season. It’s total Norman Rockwell and Douglas, Adi, and I enjoyed every minute of it. Aside from the great company, food, drink, and holiday cheer, we were treated to this fantastically tacky billboard at the Fairfield train station. This is something I would expect to see in Florida somewhere but not in Connecticut. None of the people I know who live in Connecticut would go to a salon that has advertising like this. She looks like she had her hair done for a prom taking place in Youngstown Ohio (my hometown) in the late 70’s. What were they thinking?
